Bernhard Albrecht studied medicine and communication studies in Bochum (Germany), Uppsala (Sweden), Barcelona (Spain) and Strasbourg (France). After having received his Doctor of Medicine, he specialized in neurology at the clinical center Magdeburg, a teaching hospital affiliated with the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg. In 2000 he graduated from the
Protestant School of Journalism in Berlin and has then worked as an author and managing editor for the TV science program Galileo (ProSieben TV network) for many years. He published articles in Germany’s leading newspapers and journals, including
Der Spiegel, Geo, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Die Welt and die
tageszeitung taz. Currently he works as an editor and reporter at the science department of
stern magazine.
